Dr. Barbara Mullins is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, receiving a B.A. in English and Psychology and an M.A. in Educational Counseling and later earning an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Tennessee State University. She is married and has one daughter.
This book is a great book about proper conduct that meets kids where they are. It's a mandatory read for my two sons.
I'm what I've termed a mother with persistent anxiety. I'm constantly thinking about all of the different layers to children (e.g. emotional, intellectual, religious, physical, etc.) and I agonize about whether I'm doing what I should in layer for the betterment of my children. Be Kind and Play Nice is a book that helps reinforce much of what I'm teaching my kids.
